Canton Baseball Parade
We have confirmed our Parade time for Sunday March 9th. Trucks/trailers will begin lining up at 1:15pm. Players should begin drop off at 1:30pm-2:15pm. The Parade will begin promptly at 3:00pm.
We will be meeting at the Auto Zone located just outside the square in downtown Canton. Players will need to be in uniform and will ride in vehicles during the parade. 3/4 year old vehicles will need to have one adult per three players for safety. Parents will need to drop off their child NO LATER THAN 2:30pm. To drop off your child, please turn into the driveway beside Auto Zone and continue to travel behind the building. DO NOT STOP AT AUTO ZONE!!! Board members will be there to direct you from this point. You will be able to loop around, drop off your child, and then exit to find parking around the square. Follow EXIT signs to continue and exit out the back of this area – DO NOT turn around!!
Parade route: The parade vehicles will exit Auto Zone turning right toward the square. Vehicles will travel through the square and follow East Main Street out of the square. Then, the parade will turn right onto Dr. John T. Pettit Street. At the stop sign, vehicles will turn left onto Marietta Rd. and travel straight through the traffic light. The parade will then turn right onto Harmon Circle and travel to Legion Field as the finishing point. Parents are asked to meet their team at Legion Field immediately following parade to pick up your child.
Teams are asked to decorate their vehicle as a show of team spirit. Each age group will be judged for the team demonstrating the most team spirit. One team in each age group will win Slushies for your team after a game from the concession stand. The parade results will be posted on the website. No candy or items may be thrown from parade vehicles at any time.
Please communicate to your team by tomorrow and let them know what is going on.
Hope everyone has a great time during the Parade!!
